The Mill is a destination resort facility in North Bend, Oregon. The Mill is also a Pacific Northwest logging and sawmill theme oriented entertainment complex. Crow/Clay & Associates Inc. was commissioned to design the complex, which consists of an Indian Gaming Center, hotel and banquet facilities, three restaurants, retail areas, a family entertainment center and a large multi-use area, all developing and explaining the history and culture of the logging industry.
The interpretive displays vary from pieces of historic mill machines used as sculpture pieces, to large decorative murals created from photographs, to custom light fixtures made with recycled logging and mill equipment, to the reuse of a 340,000 S. F. plywood mill to house the entire complex.
The restaurants, gaming areas and multi-use facilities, costing approximately $6.2 million, were put in use early in 1995. The completed facility is estimated to cost between $15 and $20 million.
